QEP Module Focus Group & Training Session Registration

for all BIOL 1406 and CHEM 1411 Faculty

Over the past two semesters, 47 HCC faculty have formed a faculty learning community in order to test-drive one of three learner-centered teaching modules in various science classrooms. Each module consists of an engaging case study requiring students to learn the science in order to solve a crime. Student response has been positive, and we are starting to see an uptick in final exam performance. Another big plus of our QEP has been getting to know each other and being able to share concrete teaching tips and resources.

Now we need to share the latest QEP materials and collect your input on how to move forward! If you have already taught the BIOL 1406 or CHEM 1411 QEP module, or if you are interested in teaching a BIOL 1406 or CHEM 1411 QEP module for the first time in Spring 2014 please register for the appropriate session below. As always, FT and PT faculty new to the QEP module will receive a $300 stipend immediately following full implementation. Past PT implementers will receive a modest participation stipend. Snacks and refreshments will also be served.
